While addressing people of the state, Umahi, in a video that has gone viral, asked the former governor to mention one person from the state he appointed while he was in office.
He questioned Obi’s relationship with Ebonyi people, alleging that the former governor did not appoint any indigene of the state into his administration while serving as governor of Anambra State.

We are proud Ebonyi people” Umahi stated.
He urged residents of Ebonyi to use their votes to fight the seeming classism within Igbos.
‘’Use your votes to fight. We will not go back to Egypt. We say no to secodn colonization. God has freed us. Wehave a state of our own. We are celebrating 30 years of freedom and nobody will take us back. What happened before was an accident of history. It will not repeat itself. Now you know better’’
