  • What Exactly Are Young Women Being Told to Wait For?

Maybe this will offend some people.

    That’s okay.

Everywhere I turn, I hear the same advice.

“Don’t get married in your early twenties.”

    “Go and discover yourself first.”

    “Wait until you’re 28 or 30.”

And every time I hear it, one question comes to my mind…

What exactly are we asking young women to discover?

    I’m genuinely asking.

Because the way people talk, you’d think getting married at 22 automatically means your life is over.

    Who said so?

If a woman meets a responsible, intentional man at 22…

A man who believes in her dreams…

A man willing to support her education…

A man who wants to build with her instead of controlling her…

Why should she reject him simply because society says she’s “too young”?

Who made 28 the magic number?

Another thing I find interesting is this…

    People keep saying,

“Go and enjoy your life first.”

But what exactly does “enjoy your life” mean?

    Travel?

    Build a career?

    Start a business?

    Those things are beautiful.

But who says they cannot happen within a healthy marriage?

Who convinced us that marriage automatically ends ambition?

I’ve seen women graduate after getting married.

I’ve seen women start businesses after getting married.

I’ve seen women become doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs and leaders while married.

So maybe marriage wasn’t the problem.

    Maybe the wrong partner was.

And here’s another question nobody seems to ask…

    If you’re telling a 22-year-old woman to wait until she’s 28…

Can you guarantee that the right man will still come at 28?

Can you guarantee she’ll even want the same things at 28?

Can you guarantee life will go exactly as planned?

    None of us can.

    Life doesn’t give guarantees.

    It only gives opportunities.

    Sometimes the opportunity comes early.

    Sometimes it comes late.

    The real question isn’t,

    “How old are you?”

    The real question is,

“Who is standing in front of you?”

    Is he responsible?

    Does he respect you?

    Does he support your purpose?

Can both of you grow together?

Those questions matter far more than the number on your birthday cake.

I’m not saying every woman should marry young.

    Far from it.

Some people genuinely need more time to mature.

Some relationships shouldn’t end in marriage at all.

What I’m questioning is this idea that age alone determines whether a marriage will succeed.

    It doesn’t.

    Character does.

    Wisdom does.

    Choosing the right person does.

Maybe we’ve spent so much time teaching women when to marry…

That we’ve forgotten to teach both men and women how to choose wisely.

Or maybe I’m looking at it the wrong way.

If a 22-year-old woman meets an intentional man who genuinely supports her dreams, should she walk away simply because society says she’s too young?

  • Lagos-Calabar Highway won’t go beyond Epe. Nigeria can’t afford it – Donald Duke

Former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke, has said that the Nigerian government cannot afford the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, noting that it won’t go anywhere.

While speaking on Arise TV on Tuesday night, August 4, Duke who is the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, presidential candidate, argued that the project is unnecessary and will not go beyond Epe.

“Nigeria cannot afford the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. I don’t think the road will go beyond Epe. And I think the road serves other purposes because I drove once on the road, and all I saw was land reclamation and all that. There is already a road from Lagos to Calabar. I’ve driven from Lagos to Calabar several times. If the road is poor, fix it.

There are some expenditures we make that do not reflect the realities of our circumstances.

The amount spent on that road could be better spent providing electricity or upgrading the healthcare system.’’ he said

  • Construction workers claim they uncovered pin-covered figurine buried at building site.

Construction workers have gone viral after sharing a video of what they claimed was a strange object discovered while excavating a construction site.

According to the men, they uncovered what appeared to be a wooden figurine wrapped and covered with pins, which they believed had been buried deliberately for spiritual purposes.

In the video, the workers removed the pins one after another, saying they believed whoever the figurine was meant to represent had been "set free." They also rained c*rses on whoever allegedly buried it.

  • Every rainy season in your life is preparing something beautiful for your future. The same rain that makes you want to stay in bed is the same rain that waters the seeds you planted in your dry season. Your dark days are not wasted days. Your painful seasons are not purposeless seasons. Every storm you survive makes your roots go deeper and your faith grow stronger. The rainbow always comes after the rain. Hold on. Your season is changing. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ™

  • Let me tell you about the most successful failure I ever witnessed ๐Ÿ‘‡

A man spent 20 years climbing the corporate ladder. He sacrificed his health, his marriage, his children's childhood, and his own happiness to reach the top. On the day he finally got the promotion he had been chasing for two decades he sat in his new corner office looked out at the city below and felt absolutely nothing.

No joy. No satisfaction. No peace. Just emptiness.

Because the ladder he had been climbing his entire life was leaning against the wrong wall.

He had achieved everything society told him to want and none of what his soul was created for. Don't let that be your story. Chase purpose not just success. A life of purpose will always outlast a life of achievement. ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŽฏ

  • Let me tell you something that might sting a little ๐Ÿ‘‡

The reason most people feel empty, lost, and unfulfilled is not because they don't have enough money, enough followers, or enough success. It is because they are living someone else's purpose. They took the course their parents chose. They work the job society approved. They are building a life that looks good on the outside but feels completely hollow on the inside. True fulfillment only comes when what you DO aligns with who you ARE. Are you living YOUR purpose or someone else's expectations? Be honest ๐Ÿ‘‡

  • And He said to them, fill the water pots...draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast.(Joh 2:7-8). Normally the water pots that Jesus said they should fill with water were used by the Jews for cleansing purpose and they were only used for dirty/low jobs. Jesus involvement brought a turn around miracle! A despised and dirty water pot became a wine pot used by nobles. It is a wonder that the water pot suddenly became a celebrity object! Out of the dirty pot came out wine that blessed the multitudes! Today, the same God that announced the water pot will announce your life for favour in Jesus Christ mighty name.

Have a beautiful weekend in Jesus Christ name.

    Shalom!!!
