READ TO THE END – This is not fiction, it truly happened 😔

On my last post yesterday, I promised to share what transpired between me and and a young boy today.
So here it is👇🏽
That evening, the young boy walked up to me & asked a question that many adults still struggle to answer:(emi gan forh)

"𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀?" 🤔

I didn't answer immediately.

Not because I didn't know what to say, but because 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲.

After thinking for a moment, I told him:

"Yes, money can buy happiness. I've felt that happiness myself.

"But then I added:

"The happiness money buys is often temporary. It comes and goes. A new phone becomes old. A dream purchase loses its shine.

"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.

𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐.

The memories you create. The burdens you lift. The people you help. The freedom you gain. The purpose you pursue.

The boy was unsettlingly calm. His calm made him feel older than his years — a man carrying silent weight.😨

The quiet between us was eerie. He wasn’t just listening. He was digesting me. (Imagine a rat staring at the cats eyes, that was me at that moment)😬

A minute passed & fear enter me. I almost ran. From a child, of all people (emi laye mi) 😓😅

Then, right before it got awkward, he finally spoke;

𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱.
It shook me enough to bring it straight to my people. To be continued...watch out for my 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 post.😉
