God knowing our needs doesn't mean He skips the process. Many Christians believe God chooses to work through prayer, so prayer is part of His plan, not an attempt to change it.In Matthew, Jesus encouraged people to ask, seek, and knock, and many people came to Him for healing and help. Their prayers and requests were not treated as pointless. At the same time, Jesus never promised that every request would be answered exactly the way we want.So prayer is both about trusting God and bringing our needs to Him, believing that He can act while still remaining sovereign.
