There was a time in my life when I had nothing that was truly mine. My confidence depended on someone else's approval. My happiness depended on someone else's presence. My financial survival depended on someone else's generosity. I thought that was love. I thought that was connection. But the day that person walked away I realized it was not love I had built it was dependency.I had to rebuild myself from the ground up. It was painful. It was lonely. It was terrifying. But piece by piece I built something that nobody could take from me my own life. My own income. My own peace. My own identity. My own joy.And the most beautiful thing happened when I became truly independent I stopped attracting people who wanted to control me and started attracting people who wanted to grow with me. Independence did not make me love less. It made me love better. 🙏👑
