Police release photo of woman found d3ad in Calabar hotel, renew appeal for information on her male companion The Cross River State Police Command has released the photograph of an unidentified woman found d3ad in a Calabar hotel and appealed to the public to help identify her. The woman was found d3ad in a hotel room along Clifford Lane, Calabar South, earlier this month.The spokesperson for the command, ASP Eitokpah Sunday Akata disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.According to the statement, preliminary investigation showed that the deceased lodged at the hotel alongside a male guest whose current whereabouts remain unknown.The command said investigators have intensified efforts to establish her identity and determine the circumstances surrounding her d3ath as the search for her companion continues.Police also said the receptionist who was on duty when the incident occurred remains in custody and is assisting the investigators with information about the admission of the guests and events leading up to the discovery of the deceased.The police noted that the receptionist’s detention should not be interpreted as a determination of guilt.
