“Nigeria needs to be fixed… from the gate till you board, everybody is begging you for money” — Nigerian man compares Lagos, Qatar airportsA Nigerian man has criticised the state of Nigeria’s airport system while comparing his experience at a Nigerian airport with his experience at an airport in Qatar.In a video shared online, the man called for better pay for airport workers, alleging that passengers are frequently asked for money at different points of the airport process in Nigeria.“From the gate like this to the board airplane, everybody is begging you for money in Nigeria,” he said.He contrasted the experience with what he encountered in Qatar, where he said airport workers did not ask passengers for money and the process was more organised.The man also praised the cleanliness of the Qatar airport, particularly its toilets, describing the facility as exceptionally clean compared with what he had seen at Lagos airport.“Before we came here, I entered Nigeria's Lagos airport, the toilets,” he said, before expressing disappointment over the condition of the facilities.He called for improvements in Nigeria, saying better systems and working conditions would make the country a better place.Credit: @victorandrenee
