“If the name Afod is bringing you disr£spect, remove it and use your father’s name” — Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola calls out Desola AfodNollywood actress Wumi Toriola has called out Kunle Afod’s ex-wife, Desola Afod, over her recent comments about people in the Yoruba movie industry.Desola had earlier complained about being disr£spected by people in the industry, referring to them as “awon oni theatre.”Reacting in a video, Wumi described the statement as insulting, saying Desola should mention the names of those she has issues with rather than generalising about an industry that many people have worked hard to build.“Desola Afod, if you have issues with anybody, kindly mention their names or pictures in your videos. Stop saying ‘awon oni theatre.’ It is a total disr£spect,” she said.Wumi also recalled how Desola allegedly interfered in a previous disagreement she had with a colleague, adding that she remained silent at the time out of respect for Kunle Afod.She further advised Desola to stop using the Afod name if she believed it was bringing her disr£spect.“If you think that name, Afod, is bringing you disr£spect, change it. You can bear your father’s name. It’s getting unbearable,” she added.
