‎- A Nigerian man who served as a waiter at the wedding of Afrobeats superstar, Zlatan Ibile, has displayed the tips he received at the lavish event.

Afrobeats star Davido has shown off two brand-new customized Ferrari cars reportedly worth more than $4 million combined.

The singer took to social media to flaunt the matching luxury rides, a Ferrari Roma and a Ferrari Purosangue, both customized by VENUUM Black.

Sharing photos of the cars, Davido simply captioned the post: “Stock is boring.”

The Ferrari Purosangue is one of the marque’s V12 models, while the Roma was among Ferrari’s recently phased-out models.

Afrobeats star Davido has reacted to the ongoing drama involving Nigerian artistes and their record labels, hinting that he also has something to say about the situation.

In a post on X, Davido wrote: “Since everybody dey vex for their label… me I wan talk ooo, na Asa and Bank dey hold my mouth since. No worry, no be now. The time will come… e go pass Peter own.”

Afrobeats star Davido has reacted after publicly calling on U.S. President Donald Trump and the international community to pay attention to the upcoming Osun State election.

Davido had expressed concerns over possible tension, intimidation and disruption of the electoral process, urging authorities to ensure that voters can exercise their rights peacefully.

Reacting afterwards, the singer wrote, “Dem don reach out ooo,” followed by a warning that he believed Nigerians would soon see how the situation unfolds.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has responded to comments made by Afrobeats star David “Davido” Adeleke, who called on an unnamed politician to give room for a free and fair governorship election in Osun State.

Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke is seeking re-election. On Wednesday, August 5, Davido, held a press conference where he said he had heard rumours that a politician from Imo State planned to interfere in the election. Although the singer did not name anyone, he alleged that the politician intended to use the August 15 governorship election as a political battleground to prove a point.

He urged the individual to promote peace instead and allow the people of Osun State to freely choose their preferred candidate.

However, in a statement issued through his Senior Special Assistant on Electronic and Creative Media, Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, the Governor urged the singer to direct his appeal to the electorate rather than to him. He also asked Davido to get ready to employ his Uncle as one of his dancers after he loses the August 15 state governorship election.

“The reality is that Governor Ademola Adeleke has, in the opinion of many, failed woefully in the discharge of his responsibilities. This is why many Osun voters are determined to vote him out in the August 15, 2026, governorship election. The signals emerging from across Osun State are clear. There is a growing indication that a significant number of voters have rejected the current administration and are prepared to embrace a new direction.

Rather than attempting to influence Governor Hope Uzodimma through emotional appeals, Davido should concentrate on helping his uncle prepare for life after office, as the people of Osun appear ready to cast their votes massively in favour of the APC candidate.

Perhaps, Davido should also begin making preparations to officially sign his uncle as a dancer in his musical band, because judging by the mood of the electorate, he may well be out of a political job after the August 15, 2026, governorship election.”

“Intro” from his 2019 album A Good Time remains one of Afrobeats’ greatest opening tracks. Blending soaring vocals, vibrant percussion, and heartfelt gratitude, it immediately sets the tone for the project with confidence, celebration, and ambition.

Years later, the song still stands as a fan favorite, praised for its uplifting energy and timeless appeal. Its simplicity, emotional depth, and memorable hook make it a benchmark for album intros, reinforcing Davido’s superstar status and cementing “Intro” as a modern Afrobeats classic.

Afrobeats superstar Davido has opened up about his biggest fear saying he constantly prays for the wisdom to know when it's time to step away from music.

Speaking on the subject, the singer referenced football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he described as a good friend, noting that despite everything the Portuguese legend has achieved, he still faced criticism during the World Cup.

Davido said he doesn't want to stay in the game for too long and risk overshadowing the legacy he has built.

"My biggest fear is not knowing when to quit music. Look at Ronaldo, he's my good friend by the way. After everything he's done for football, they still laughed at him during the World Cup. I pray to God every day to show me the right time to pack it up, so that I don't use one small thing to spoil it," he said.

The controversy follows Davido’s appearance at the FIFA World Cup countdown concert, where he used his stage outfit to draw attention to pupils and teachers abducted in Ahoro-Esinle and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State.

Turning his highly anticipated pre-tournament performance into an advocacy showcase, Davido spotlighted the security crisis in Nigeria, demanding immediate government action for the victims who remain in captivity.

The customised buttons bore the individual names of the students and teachers recently kidnapped by armed bandits. To distinguish the tragic reality, the names of those still held captive were written in white lettering on the green buttons, while the names of the victims who had lost their lives during the ordeal were written in red.
