When I was a child and growing up I believed so much in religion, I believed heaven and hell, everything
But at a certain point in my life I didn't believe it so much again. Especially now. Maybe because it's difficult to believe what you've not seen
Africans used to believe in religion so much in the past but this particular generation doesn't really believe it. I've surrounded myself with people that question and doubt religion. Even online people question God
I've joined them but not all the way. I believe in God too, but not too much again.
At this point in my life, I don't even know what to believe again. People are arguing that God is not real, the bible is not real, it was written by humans. And it's not God that told those people what to write.
So many things. So my mind is divided. I believe God exists and all those other stuff, but another part of me doesn't believe it. Sticking to one side 100% will cause problems.
During my NYSC I had a roommate that was arguing about religion and while he was scrolling through Tiktok he stumbled upon a guy that argues about religion.
The guy on Tiktok said that religion has caused lots of problems in Africa. He said that when the whites colonized us, the brought Christianity to us. They used it to manipulate us. He said that the whites that brought Christianity don't put it on their head like we Africans do, but they're progressing.
He even said that religion has caused so much problems in the world. Not only Christianity, Muslim, etc.
My take on all this is that these things are very distracting. We should not spend too much time thinking about these things. Focus on your life.
Forget heaven, forget hell, forget God, just live life. If we spend so much time arguing about these things we won't go very far. I'm even doing it now. How long did it take me to say type this?
Finally, God could've just made it easy for us to know about these things but he hides it too much. He just expects us to believe all these things without seeing them. All those wonders happened several centuries ago but they no longer happen now, how am I supposed to believe it?
God knows what he's doing. If he revealed everything to us he would loose his power so he's hiding many things from us.
Overall, I believe in God. I know that there is a Supreme being that watches over me and guides me.
That's all I have to say for now.
