There is something I have been thinking about for a while.
I call it the "Do nothing principle". I made it up. Here is how it goes. When you stay like this and don't do anything, it is very relaxing and enjoyable but when you do something it is hard and difficult.
Example you stay like that, throughout the day you do nothing, you just go through social media, watch Netflix, you catch cruise. It's very enjoyable. But there is a risk. You don't know how your life will turn out later. Life will get hard.
When I was younger I behaved like that. I spent my days going through social media, watching movies having fun and I felt good. When I started this life was so sweet that time. The economy was not that bad.
But when the economy started getting bad a little , I tried to do something but I gave up when I failed. I was just enjoying myself but I didn't realize then that I made a horrible mistake.
Because of those times I enjoyed myself while giving up, life became hard, so damn hard. It didn't start at once, it started so slowly that it became so difficult to bear.
It's just funny. Giving up when things weren't that bad. Wetin I go come talk now, in 2026? At that point I never see anything. These days I'm even scared to give up.
So, when you do things, like learn skills, research and put things in place it's not enjoyable. It's hard, I even get headache doing it at times.
I wanted to give up but I learnt from my past experiences and held on. I could give up now but within a shorter time compared to previous years.
I could give up in two weeks or a month and come back. I am glad that I kept doing something because if I didn't I wouldn't reach this level.
So if you decide not do anything it carries a huge risk. Things might go well in the future. You might get a good job, travel abroad through scholarship or something good.
But what are the odds that it will happen? I won't tell you that if you do nothing today you will suffer tomorrow. I can't tell the future.
I'm just saying it as it relates to my own life. After what I experienced for the past couple of years, I'm scared not to do anything. Not doing anything is a huge risk for me. I can't make that mistake again.
If I had put things in place and taken action when the economy was good, when life was rosy, I couldn't have suffered like this when the country got bad.
But despite all that I thank God for everything, it was a learning experience. ππΌ
So whenever you want to be lazy and not do anything, and hope everything will fall in place later, remember this post I just made and weigh your risks. God bless you ππΌππΌ
