A lady has shared her surprise after rejecting a man who simply accepted her decision and walked away without trying to convince or pressure her.

According to her, the experience was unusual because she had previously encountered men who refused to accept rejection, including following women home or trying to change their minds.

She praised the man for respecting her decision and urged others to understand that when someone says no, their decision should be respected.

Content creator Maraji has reacted strongly to a man who claimed the relationship between TikTok couple Peller and Jarvis is doomed because Jarvis is a few years older than him.

The man argued that men should always marry younger women, claiming women age faster than men and suggesting Peller could eventually become unfaithful because of fame and success.

Reacting to the video, Maraji described his comments as ridiculous, questioning the logic behind his claims.

Content creator Asherkine has shared his experience after claiming he was stopped by officials at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for filming on campus without permission.

In a video, the influencer alleged that he was taken to the Student Affairs office and later escorted by security officials over the shoot.

Expressing his frustration, Asherkine said, “That's why I don't come here. It's my school too, but that's why I don't come.”

He also claimed he has never experienced similar treatment while filming in other schools, adding that the incident explains why he rarely creates content at UNILAG.

Actress Tayo Adeniyi has advised women, especially those in their late 30s and 40s, not to make marriage or having children the centre of their lives.

In a video shared online, the actress said women who have tried to get married or have children without success should not feel incomplete or pressured by society.

According to her, a woman can still live a happy and fulfilling life without a husband or children, stressing that no one should endure unhealthy situations just because they want to get married or become a parent.

She urged women not to settle for less or put up with unacceptable behaviour in pursuit of marriage, adding that if those things are meant to happen, they will happen naturally.

The Lagos State Government says it has arrested 27 suspected hoodlums following the alleged vandalism of a newly constructed bridge linking Festac Town to Alakija.

The arrests followed a joint midnight enforcement operation by officers of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) task force after authorities uncovered the alleged destruction of critical components of the bridge.

According to a post via the X handle of the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the operation was carried out in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s directive to clear the Lagos-Badagry Transnational Highway of environmental infractions, illegal motor parks, roadside trading and other unlawful activities.

The commissioner said investigations revealed that suspected hoodlums had deliberately removed key structural materials from the bridge, posing a threat to public safety.

“Investigations revealed that suspected hoodlums had deliberately vandalised critical structural components of the bridge by removing iron rods, steel reinforcements, cables, and other supporting materials essential to the integrity of the infrastructure.”he said

The statement described the alleged vandalism as a serious threat to the integrity of the infrastructure and the government’s investment in public projects.

Following the discovery, security operatives launched a coordinated enforcement operation, leading to the arrest of 27 suspects.

“The operation led to the arrest of 27 suspected hoodlums, who will be prosecuted in accordance with the extant laws of Lagos State.”

Police have arrested a woman accused of br&talising a 13-year-old girl under her car in Imo State.

Imo journalist and activist Chidiebube Okeoma, who disclosed this on Thursday, August 6, 2026 said he led a team of police officers to arrest the woman and rescue the battered child.

Videos he shared online show the child with her eyes swollen shut.

According to him, the woman, said to be from Udi, Enugu State, brutally ass@ulted the minor and damaged her eyes with a stick.

The minor, who is also from Enugu, has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
