– Nigerian gospel singer Chidinma Ekile has revealed that she left Nigeria and hoped to secure permanent residency abroad before transitioning from secular music to gospel music.

Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has raised an alarm over what he described as an invasion of his hospital in Owerri by operatives of the Imo State Police and waste management officials.

Emenike claimed that the incident occurred on October 21, 2026, and resulted in panic among patients and the arrest of two hospital staff. He noted that a similar incident had earlier taken place on September 25.

Reacting to the development on Instagram, he wrote:

I invested in my community and built a hospital - a place where people could seek care, find comfort and hold on to hope. It was a gesture of faith in my people and a commitment to helping my home state thrive. That is why the reports of what happened today 21st October, 2026 at Emenike Hospital are so painful. A place built to care for people should never become a place where patients are afraid and staff are left feeling unsafe. We call on the hospital community to receive the protection and support it needs. Imo State deserves investment. Its people deserve safety. And every hospital should remain a place of care and hope."

Three Nigerian sisters whose bodies were recovered from the sea off Brighton in the UK took their own lives, a coroner has ruled.

Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31, had been living “very secluded lives” following the ***** of their mother, who drowned in 2010, senior coroner Penelope Schofield said.

On 11 May, the sisters, who had all been living together in Greenford, London, visited an area of Birmingham close to where their mother d!ed before travelling the next day to Brighton beach, where they drowned in adverse sea conditions in the early hours of 13 May. The coroner said they could not swim.

Their father Joseph Jacobsen said it was heartbreaking to lose “all three of my precious daughters”.

Paying tribute to his daughters, their father, Joseph Jacobson, who attended the Brighton inquest via videolink, said in a written statement:

“To lose all three of my precious daughters, Jane, Christina and Rebecca, is a heartbreak beyond anything I could ever have imagined.

“May your beautiful souls rest in perfect peace.”

He could not understand why his daughters’ lives ended so suddenly, and hoped they were reunited with their mother “in God’s eternal care”, he added.

The coroner told the court: “These three sisters lived very secluded lives, they were incredibly private, we don’t know why they took this course of action or indeed why they chose to do it in Brighton.

Eyewitnesses said the cleric told the mourners that de@th was certain and cannot be avoided, adding that everyone must pass through it, and that de@th is like going to the market.
