  • ‘I have gone back to our family ’-Gov Fubara says as he declares support for Wike’s governorship candidate

The governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared his support for the governorship candidate backed by the Rainbow Coalition that is being led by his predecessor and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Fubara spoke on Wednesday during the commissioning of the Rivers Medical Industries Project in Port Harcourt, where he endorsed Kingsley Chinda, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as his preferred successor.

“We have made peace in the state, and we have a total agreement. I am supporting our rainbow party, our rainbow coalition. President Bola Tinubu is our president and is the one we are supporting.

OK Chinda is the governorship candidate that I am supporting, and anybody who believes in me will support him and every candidate under the rainbow.

For those of you saying, ‘Fubara, let’s stay, we want to collect something before we run,’ there is nothing to collect. I am already in the family. I have gone back to our family. So please, wherever you are, give your total support to that coalition.”he said

Chinda was declared the winner of the APC governorship primary after polling 268,497 during the exercise in May.

Fubara was initially screened alongside Chinda for the APC governorship primary but later stepped down from the race, saying he made the decision out of conviction and sacrifice for the peace and unity of Rivers state.

The APC screening committee reportedly disqualified several of Fubara’s allies from the Rivers State House of Assembly primaries while clearing aspirants loyal to Wike.

Fubara and Wike had been locked in a prolonged political feud that triggered efforts by lawmakers loyal to the FCT minister to impeach the governor before both camps eventually reached a political truce.

Successful people say "I don't know, teach me." Be willing to learn from anyone — even people younger than you.

    5. Solution-Oriented

Let me show you something about integrity that will change how you see success forever ๐Ÿ‘‡

There are two types of successful people in the world:

    Type A

Rose to the top by cutting corners, telling lies, stepping on people, and doing whatever it took to win. They have the money, the cars, the followers, and the lifestyle. But they cannot sleep at night. They trust nobody. They are always looking over their shoulder. They know deep down that everything they built could collapse at any moment because it was built on lies.

    Type B

Rose to the top slowly and quietly by doing the right thing consistently even when it was hard, even when nobody was watching, and even when integrity cost them something. They have peace. They have genuine relationships. They have a reputation that opens doors money cannot buy. They sleep like a baby every night.

Which type of success do you want? Drop a ๐Ÿ‘‘ if you choose Type B every single time.

You can fake talent. You can fake success. You can fake happiness. You can fake relationships. But you cannot fake integrity forever. Sooner or later who you truly are in private will show up in public. The lies you tell in secret will surface. The corners you cut when nobody is watching will catch up with you. The people you mistreat behind closed doors will eventually speak up. Build your life on integrity because everything else built on a shaky foundation will eventually collapse. What kind of foundation are you building on today? ๐Ÿ‘‡
